HESSCO Elder Services Recognizes Volunteers

HESSCO Elder Services recognized their team of 657 volunteers for their outstanding commitment to making the lives of the elders we serve brighter with a recent dinner at Raffael’s. According to Mary Jean McDermott, HESSCO’s Executive Director, “These volunteers performed 38,837 hours of service throughout the year. All of us here at HESSCO Elder Services are extraordinarily fortunate to have such devoted volunteers. These wonderful people serve as our face, heart and spirit in the communities we are committed to.”

“Whether you are delivering meals, balancing a checkbook, helping people through the maze of insurance programs, advocating for the quality of life for nursing home residents or guiding our agency as a member of the Board or one of our Advisory Committees, your efforts are the backbone upon which our organization is built. Your gift of time, talent and compassion is treasured here at HESSCO and the value of your work is priceless” stated Beverly Carothers, Volunteer Director.
