Longtime HESSCO volunteer Virginia “Ginny” Hartin named “Patriots Difference Maker of the Week”
On December 27, 2011, HESSCO’s Foxboro Congregate Meal Site had some exciting guests join the luncheon elders! HESSCO’s Virginia “Ginny” Hartin was named a “Patriots Difference Maker of the Week!” To celebrate, five current and former New England Patriots stopped by to congratulate Ginny on her more than 20 years of volunteer service at HESSCO. Former Patriots greats Steve King, Roland James and Patrick Pass joined Jermaine Cunningham and Dan Koppen preparing and serving lunch to more than 50 seniors as part of “Senior Advocate Volunteerism Week” in conjunction with the Patriots’ season-long “Celebrate Volunteerism” campaign. The players also readied lunches for delivery to seniors that are homebound through the Meals on Wheels Program. During their visit, the current and former players presented the “Senior Advocate Volunteerism” Patriots Difference Maker of the Week, Ginny Hartin, with an honorary medal and autographed football.
